There is increasing evidence that training can
significantly decrease the likelihood of injury. It is now
believed that one's technique is as important in the success
of a skill as is the accomplishment of the skill itself. TIPTOP
"Training Injury Prevention To Optimize Performance" was
designed with these thoughts in mind.
You will be assessed to determine your
pre-training level and then be instructed in proper technique
to help prevent injury and enhance performance. We will use
the latest research to help put you on the court or on
the field in TIPTOP shape.
Injury Prevention
Just as a house has to have a stable foundation to
stand, your body must also have a stable foundation to
function properly. With TIPTOP we will make sure you
have the strength, balance, and coordination necessary to
perform higher level activities. Whether you are ready for
high intense training or not, the benefits of the program are
immeasurable.
Learning good technique to take with you
on the field or court to prevent injury will make you a better
athlete.
Understanding proper exercise
progression and individualizing treatment sessions is what
separates us from the others. Not everyone will initially be
able to perform high intense drills that push you to the edge
making you bigger, faster, and stronger. However, with the
proper progression and training you will be able to achieve
these activities.
Sports Specific Training
Different skills are
required to catch a football or shoot a jump shot so why would
you train for them the same way? The answer is You Wouldn’t!
This is essentially the concept of sports specific training.
Research shows that you are better able to prevent injury and
improve performance of a skill if you practice that skill.
While most sports
require you to be bigger, faster, and stronger in order to be
more competitive than your opponent, there are differences in
the way these skills are used.
TIPTOP
program is not the same for everyone. It uses the individual
differences of the clients and the specific needs of a given
sport to design and train the best athletes out there.
